I choose to be a Parent Governor to get a better understanding of the way the school is run and to be a voice for parents to voice any concerns, to over see clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction of the school, to hold school to account for the educational performance and overseeing the financial performance and making sure its money is well spent. This is my second term as a parent governor. I have over 25 years public sector experience, in a variety of challenging roles. I have the experience of Personnel, Financial and Performance Management. I am also on the Performance and Management committee of the school.

I worked for designers and artists and since having children I now work part time running arts workshops for Mellor students at Cross Corners.

I'm a very proud parent governor of Mellor Primary & have two children currently at the school.
I opted to be a governor to help build a special bridge between parents & the school network, so I can voice my opinions, ideas & appreciation of the way the school works & runs. Being on two very important committees, I'm always excited to attend meetings to discuss the progress of mellor pupils and teaching styles from staff. I love how great the school, and parents and children work together as a community. I Look forward to the next few years ahead.
